Getting Started
WE HELP PEOPLE DISCOVER HOW LIFE WITH JESUS IS FOR REAL LIFE—NOT JUST A RELIGIOUS Life.
What Do We Mean by a "religious life"?
A Religious Life often looks like going through the motions—attending church, keeping traditions, or following rules because that’s what is expected. It’s believing in God but feeling disconnected from Him in daily living. For many, religion becomes a compartment of life—something to check off on Sundays—while Monday to Saturday feels untouched by faith.
What do we mean by “real life”?
Real Life with Jesus is different. It’s not a ritual to perform, but a relationship to live out. Real life means that the Gospel speaks to your Monday morning stress, your late-night doubts, and the way you treat your coworkers, neighbors, and family. It is the kind of faith that reshapes how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. Real life is lived in wholeness and purpose—reflecting deeply, living clearly, and discipling confidently as an everyday pattern, not just a religious activity.
Why make the distinction?
Without this distinction, faith can be misunderstood as merely a subscription to religious identity. Many carry the label “Christian” yet struggle to recognize the voice of Jesus or His work in their daily routines. This gap leads to confusion, disillusionment, and even burnout when religion doesn’t deliver the transformation it promises. The difference between religion and real life is the difference between information and transformation.
WHAT’S AT STAKE WHEN FAITH IS ONLY RELIGIOUS?
When faith doesn’t connect to real life:
- It creates shallow roots—people are easily shaken by suffering, disappointment, or doubt.
- It breeds disillusionment—rituals feel empty when they don’t lead to meaning.
- It limits growth—religion can maintain appearances without producing real change.
- It withholds life from others—if our faith doesn’t live beyond us, it never multiplies into discipleship.
